To our customers: Please be assured that we are doing our very best to continue manufacturing and to get our products to you as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, due to staff shortages and changes to delivery services, we are experiencing delays with stock replenishment and delivery times. This is affecting both our next day services and our standard Royal Mail delivery times. We will keep you informed as the situation changes.
Our digestive tract contains more than 70% of the body’s immune system and trillions of bacteria, known as the microbiome.
This microbiome is made up of many different species of bacteria, some of which are considered friendly and others termed pathogenic. The bacteria line the gut wall and help to stop toxins and harmful substances passing through the gut into the body – so ideally, we need a lot more good than bad. The ideal ratio has been estimated at 85% good to 15% bad bacteria and if this balance is affected it may lead to digestive symptoms such as bloating or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
The stresses of our modern lifestyles have been shown to have an impact on reducing the levels of good bacteria and potentially give the pathogenic bacteria a chance to become dominant. Stressors include a high sugar intake, lack of or too much exercise, illness (especially food poisoning) and medications (particularly antibiotics), environmental toxins and lack of nutrients.
As a result, it can be useful to support the good bacteria on a daily basis and the products listed here can help to provide friendly bacteria for adults, along with a variety of other nutrients depending upon the product you choose to suit you and your lifestyle.
